Talent Manager - Alva Industries

Alva has grown to almost 30 people and is growing fast - within 2 years we plan to be over 60 employees as well as having established an entity abroad. The position as Talent Manager will be an essential part of Alva as you attract talents, hire A-players, and help engage, develop, and leverage our people to build a world-class company that delivers excellence across the organization.

You will be crucial in building the HR-division of Alva and ensure cultural consistency as the company grows. You will report to the CFO but work closely with the COO and CEO to ensure successful execution of Alva’s hiring plan.


  • HR-strategy
    • Develop, implement and maintain efficient HR-strategies, processes and procedures
  • Organizational Development
    • Help engage, develop, and leverage our people to build a world-class company that delivers excellence across the organization
    • Ensure cultural consistency as Alva grows and scales, and help build efficient and scalable communications, policies and workflows to manage through change
    • Forge strong connections and open lines of communication with employees at all levels; maintain trust and communication across the organization
  • Resource Planning
    • Work close with Operations to build a hiring plan that reflects short- and longterm needs to support client projects and organizational needs
    • Coordinate external resources to balance out risk of over-hiring
  • Talent Attraction
    • Develop best-in-class talent strategies, processes and tactics to attract the best talents and to promote Alva as a great place to work
  • Recruiting
    • Manage recruiting and selection process
    • Managing succession planning of staff
  • On-Boarding
    • Ensure new employees are properly on-boarded and followed up throughout the trial period
  • Talent Development
    • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
    • Set KPI’s to track competence gaps and training needs, and monitor training programs
    • Create learning and development programs to prepare employees for more significant responsibilities as the company grows and to help our leaders become better managers
  • Administration
    • HR-related HMS
    • Sick leave follow-up
    • Maintain company remuneration policies


  • 10+ years combined experience in the HR/Talent space, with a broad range of exposure to include HR, People Operations, Strategy & Talent Acquisition
  • Experience from hiring and developing engineers and managers
  • Great knowledge of performance metrics
  • Excellent people skills
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken


  • Experience from rapidly scaling a company
  • Industrial experience
  • International experience
