Business Development/M&A analyst – Kyoto Group

Kyoto aims for rapid growth and become a thought leader in the thermal energy sector. We are looking for a Business Developer / M&A Analyst with best-in-class capabilities to support Kyoto operations for strategic growth and business development opportunities. The Business Developer / M&A Analyst will support Kyoto management on analyses for further investments, profitability and support the group’s M&A activities. The position reports to CFO.

Typical /Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Research, business plan, financial modelling of new business opportunities, joint ventures, etc
  • Acquisitions: identification and screening of tuck-in acquisitions
  • Assess and analyse industry trends
  • Calculate internal and target company valuations
  • Perform financial analysis and research to identify opportunities and issues of strategic importance to the Company
  • Develop strategies to grow business
  • Support the analysis and development of new products and solutions
  • Investment banking and business broker relationships
  • Develop strategic and analytical frameworks that may pertain to specific markets, businesses or competitive analyses
  • Provide clarity in complex problems, facilitate decision-making and guide high value investments
  • Conduct in depth research to support business strategies and identify trends across key business drivers such as credit, asset trends, cost structure, pricing, unit economics, product management and operational functions.

MBA in related area such as finance or economics post degree qualifications, and minimum 3-5 years of work experience from similar roles, preferably with focus on the renewable energy sector.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with international and diverse groups of individuals and styles.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen skills, and the ability to work self-driven and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Norwegian, other languages may be beneficial
