Are you the new Senior Property Underwriter to Zurich Nordic in Oslo?

As an underwriter, you will build up and be responsible for your own portfolio of customers with assignments such as premium setting, quotations, negotiations and measuring exposure and analyzing risk. You will underwrite complex new and renewal business and will build relationships in support of customer/business acquisition and retention. You will also proactively contribute ideas and work for the development of new or enhanced propositions based on technical, customer and distributor insights. As well as proactively seek new business opportunities. You will be part of the Nordic Property Underwriting Team across our four offices in the Nordic. In Norway you will work closely together with our Senior Property Underwriter and the Norwegian Property Team consisting of Risk Engineering, Property Claims and Property Underwriting Service Specialists.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of professional experience within Property Insurance for commercial customers
  • Preferably an academic degree as engineer or equivalent
  • Experience within CAR/EAR insurance is seen as an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Norwegian are required

  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Strong data processing skills and analytical skills
  • Technical background and knowledge along the underwriting core processes
  • Knowledge of risk analysis and selection, pricing for new business and renewals
  • Good negotiation skills and sales oriented
  • Good presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation
  • High level of risk- and business awareness
